Why MrBeast Was A Perfect Fit For NFL’s Super Bowl Ad

Among the surprises during this year’s Super Bowl was an appearance by MrBeast in the NFL’s “Run With It” ad. But a look at the creator’s social video audience showcases why he was actually a perfect fit for the league’s star-studded spot. Data from Tubular Labs reveals who MrBeast’s YouTube audience is also most likely to watch, including quite a few sports-centric accounts. Some of the most notable:

  • The NFL also activated MrBeast at the game, clad in Chiefs gear, to speak to his younger-skewing fan base. While sports leagues and teams have been trying to find new ways to speak to younger audiences with social content, over 43% of MrBeast’s YouTube audience is in the 13-to-24 age range, and 67% are 34 or younger.

  • This approach with MrBeast highlights what’s next for leagues and networks as they evolve audience acquisition strategies to include the creator economy in a natural way.
