From Cheddar TV: Movie Theaters Hope to Capitalize on Netflix Subscriber Loss

TVREV Co-Founder and Lead Analyst Alan Wolk was on Cheddar TV Friday, debunking yet again the myth that Netflix had suffered “massive” subscriber losses and talking about how movie theater chains need to reclaim their role as a destination and gathering place by improving their product.

Wolk also predicted that movie consumption would likely be hybrid, split between theaters and streaming and that one key advantage of a streaming movie was its length, or lack thereof: people are more likely to invest in a two or three hour movie than a 12 hour series.
