Inscape Binge Report: Weekend of March 27-29

As more Americans are confined to their homes, whether by official “shelter in place” orders or self-instituted social distancing/stay-home measures, TV has increasingly become a beacon of light and comfort in these dark days of COVID-19. And with hours to spend on the couch and nowhere to go, binge-watching has been taken to a whole new level.

We’re working with Inscape.tv, the TV data company with glass-level insights from a panel of more than 14 million smart TVs, to uncover which TV shows people are binging. For the below, we’re looking specifically at the weekend of March 27-29. Note: the data are from timeshifted-detected sessions consisting of three or more episodes.

Topping the list of shows based on minutes binged (as a percent of all binged shows that Inscape measured) is CBS’ NCIS: Los Angeles, followed by fan-favorite Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (often syndicated in marathons, making it perfect for DVRing) and The Office (also in syndication). Peppa Pig and Ridiculousness round out the top five. It’s also worth noting that two other kids’ shows make the top ten: PAW Patrol and Puppy Dog Pals
