Golden Globes a Golden Op for Netflix, Hulu, Facebook, NYT Advertising

The Golden Globes, which ran and then re-aired in the US last night, gave advertisers a chance to shine in the spotlight. While accumulating a total advertising runtime of 45 minutes and 30 seconds during the original broadcast, no brand was more active than L’Oreal Paris, which, in total ran ads for 180 seconds, across its Cosmetics, Hair Care and Skin Care lines. In total, more than 50 brands ran ads during these two broadcasts, according to iSpot.tv.While the program had plenty of familiar TV advertising brands-- Auto-makers like Honda and Volkswagen, and Wireless providers like T-Mobile and Verizon, it was also a special opportunity for media brands to come forward.
